Program features

  • Jsmtp Automail is a program to send mail via SMTP protocol to an Internet/Intranet server in automatic mode. It runs under Windows 3.x with standard WinSocket like Trumpet or others. It is totally configurable.

  • You can use this program in interactive or in batch mode via command-line parameters Getting started.

  • After the configuration.you can set other default options, like your Name and your organization. You can set the default message option wich you can change in interactive mode or override via command-line parameters.

  • You can send messages in HTML format for those Mail Readers wich support this format (Netscape navigator).

  • You can delete the message file at the end of transmission in automatic mode. (Used often in batch mode)

  • In Interactive mode you can edit the message file before the transmission if the file is smaller than 32k. In this case every change will be written to the file.

  • For example in Batch mode you can do this. jsmtp /b /to:iaco@idgroup.it to send the mail to me.

  • There are several switches : /b, /d, /html:[switch], /host:[host name], /from:[Email Sender], /mfile:[File Name], /to:[Destination list], /subject:[Title].
